The Version Definition Page

Using the Version Definition page, you will be able to create and manage the versions in your Reserves instance.

Versions can be linked to multiple contexts. For example, they can be linked to the Reserves Context and the Economic Context at the same time. Companies will often have more Economic Versions than Reserves Versions.

  1. Select Data from the Navigation Toolbar.
  2. Click on the Data Versions tab, and then the Version Definition page.

Create a Version

To create a new version, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Create button.
  2. Enter a unique name for your new version in the Version field.
  3. Link your version to contexts by selecting them in the Available Contexts list, and then clicking the Add button.

    4. Click image to expand or minimize.

  4. (Optional) Enter comments associated with your version in the Comment field.
  5. When you have finished setting up your version, click the Save button.

Edit a Version

To edit a version's settings, follow these steps:

You will not be able to modify locked versions.
  1. Select the version you wish to edit using the Version drop-down menu.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Modify your version as you would when creating it. You will be able to:
    1. Rename your version
    2. Change the contexts that are linked to your version
    3. Add and modify your version's comments
  4. When you have finished making the changes you require, click the Save button.

Delete a Version

To delete a version, follow these steps:

You will not be able to delete locked versions.
  1. Select the version you wish to delete using the Version drop-down menu.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Click OK to delete your version.
